Molded Parts as fired
The term refers to ceramic components not undergoing any further processing once the sintering process has been finished. Unprocessed molded parts allow a cost-efficient development of a lot of material properties.
The general tolerances according to DIN ISO 40680-m are applied for these products. The surface is called "as fired", with a roughness Ra<1,6 µm. As a rule, applications are components for wear protection, ballistics and high-temperature technology.
» Tiles for Ballistic Protection
The ballistic protection of people, vehicles and objects requires modern composite armoring. This technology offers a high protective effect with a low basis weight.
» Tiles for Wear Protection
Ceramic molded parts, plates and mosaics made of AK92 are used as a wear protection for lining pipes, pipe bends, chutes and interface elements.
» Pipes for Wear Protection
Ceramic pipes allow for a longer service life, a reduction of the service costs whilst clearly reducing weight as compared with conventional linings.
» Molded Parts for Wear Protection
Precisely fitting molded parts provide a high-quality wear protection for complex applications. Barat Ceramics provides assistance in developing and supplies molded parts and assemblies.
» Firing Auxiliaries
Ceramic firing auxiliaries made of AK99.5 are used for high-temperature processes. Strength, corrosion resistance and purity open up a lot of fields of application.
» Porous & Foam Ceramics
The high limit temperatures for applications and the thermal shock resistance make porous ceramic and foam ceramic the preferred materials for thermal applications.
